My weekend was very eventful. Friday night I had my senior night for basketball and we won our game. Then early saturday morning at 12:45AM I left to go to Montgomery for a recruitment visit to Huntingdon College. I met the players and the coaching staff and even got invited to watch them play. Afterwards I went to Birmingham to stay with my Mom until it was time for me to come back. I also ended up getting my learners permit and reopened my debit card. Overall my weekend was very fun and I made alot of memories.

My first 2 weeks of school have been fun. I enjoy all my classes so far and I love my teachers. I am glad that all my classes are challenging, I just wish i would have taken Spanish in 9th grade so that I would not be the only Junior in a class full of Freshman. If my classes continue to be how they are now I can say that my Junior year will be a fun year.

Hank runs a cafe for thru-hikers passing through that want to eat, take a break, or catch up on recent news by reading new paper. He is well known for his infamous chocolate chip cookies smothered with whip cream and fruit. People who come along the trail often leave snacks and beverages in containers for future thru-hikers. But when it is left unattended too long, the wild life tends to go and take the food. Because of that the PCT has created some new rules and guidelines for hikers.
