Dear Grant, In a situation like this, where you cant seem to get though to someone, maybe you should just leave it alone. You cant always help someone especially if they don’t want to be helped. In his mind his life is about to be over anyways, so why try now? He has fallen to the title the white man has given him. Maybe bringing in another person to try and talk to him would steer him in the right direction. Sadly you can’t save anyone. You should try to go and talk with him once more, and if that does not change his mindset then wash your hands with the entire situation. Signed, Advice Columnist.
